Weekenders Coffee Roasters: Bringing Kyoto to KaffeBox

You won’t find any guide to Japan’s specialty coffee scene without mention of Weekenders Coffee Roasters, and for good reason. Tucked away in Kyoto, this small, almost-hidden coffee shop has earned a reputation for exceptional coffee, bringing together the city’s unique charm and world-class brewing.

During my (Lene) recent trip to Kyoto, I kept seeing Reddit posts about Weekenders Coffee Roasters, and I knew I had to check it out. I tried their Kenya roast, both iced and hot, and the experience was fantastic. One of our best coffee experiences in Japan.

Weekenders crafts their coffee to bring out the natural sweetness, acidity, and depth in each bean. They source their beans directly, roast with precision, and serve each cup in a way that reflects Japan’s excellent precision and grace.
