The Kalita Wave Carafe Brewer is a brewer and server in one.  Unlike the cone-style brewers of the Hario V60 or Chemex, the Kalita Wave is a flat three-holed bottom brewer.  The flow of water through the coffee is restricted by the three holes, allowing for a more repeatable brew and great-tasting coffee every time.

Flat-bed brewing can offer a more uniform extraction and is commonly seen in larger automatic batch brewers, but here, Kalita is bringing the benefits of flat-bed brewing to smaller overall brews. It also has Wave technology filters that change the way the brew extracts.

Our suggested brew ratio is similar to the Chemex and Hario V60 ratio.  6g coffee for every 100g water.
